We had a great lunch at Barnacle Buds. Awesome location by the river although a bit hard to find. It is located on the river behind the big Skipper Buds boathouse. You will think you are not in the right spot, but you are there…just walk past the open boat warehouse doors to the side of the building by the river. It’s worth the adventure. The food was great, atmosphere is hard to beat and the service was good. Give them a try, you’ll be glad you did.

One of those places you just have to hit when ever in Milwaukee! Great food, setting, and service. Barnacle Buds is a gem. While all the food is delicious, the muscles are great, and I can’t recommend the crab car sandwich and lobster roll enough!

Awesome little place right on the water. Boat up access. The garlic breaded cheese curds may just have been the best thing I've ever eaten. Bar bunny came hopping by at the end of our meal. Only downside is it can be a little windy but that can be expected waterside

If it looks like you drove to the scene of a 1980's cop movie where a drug deal is about to go down near the waterfront, don't worry, you're in the right place. The location looks sketchy, but the actual inside has an awesome vibe. I got my food within minutes of ordering and it was delicious - cod fish fry with fries, coleslaw, and bread. I will definitely come back. Also, there seems to be a lot of outdoor seating and will probably be a fun place to eat out in the summer.

We had fish tacos, cheese curds, coconut shrimp, grouper Po Boy, and muscles. The curds were really good, tacos were solid. The po boy was great. Service was good and the food came out quick, even with it being relatively busy. The location is tucked away but worth it if you can find it. Would recommend it. Seems like it would be awesome in the summer to sit outside on the deck by the water

Very fun restaurant with a cool vibe. Right on the canal so you can watch nice boats go by while you enjoy your food and drinks. Our food was all very good and the cocktails & beer were spot on. Enjoyed our snarky server too! Definitely check it out for yourself. We really enjoyed the place and definitely will be back.

Great atmosphere. Arrived at just the right time. The sun was shining, there was a nice breeze, and the voice was amazing. The shrimp po'boy was delicious . Drinks were so amazingly.

We're cycling from the public market to try out this place. It's hidden inside the dock. Great rustic setup, a super fun vibe. We ordered half a dozen fresh oysters and garlic mussels. Fresh, tasty, and good-sized oyster. Garlic mussels are the best white wine garlic with butter I ever have. It looks like a lot of butter, but not and not overpowered. Fresh mussels, fresh vegetables, and flavorful. There's not much about drinks here that I love, but nothing below average. Great, friendly, and very intuitive services. Food came out pretty fast as well. Definitely go back.
